Paul Pierce was born on October 13, 1977 in Oakland, California but he grew up near Los Angeles in Inglewood, where he learned to shoot hoops on the city's street courts. He went on to play basketball at Inglewood High School and led the team to a division championship before moving on to play Final Four.
