Kirsten Prout plays Amanda Bloom on the hit TV show working teenage actor.
Sindy: Kyle XY just started. What can people expect in the second season?
Kirsten Prout: A lot of surprises; a lot of change and a lot of excitement. We were developing a base in the first season, and the second season is so action-packed and we have a lot of developments that the viewers will really enjoy.
Sindy: Can you tell me a little about your character, Amanda?
Kirsten Prout: Amanda has a lot of problems, and the light in things. I would consider her someone that's very optimistic, and she'll need that this season to get through all the issues that are posed.
Sindy: You were also just in a Lifetime movie called Cry Wolf. Can you tell me about that?
Kirsten Prout: Yeah, it was a very quick one that was fun to do while I was off from Kyle XY, but it's really great to be back in the show.
Sindy: Do you have anything else on the go?
Kirsten Prout: I did have a movie I was going to do, but the problem is that Kyle XY went to 22 episodes, instead of the original 13 we were going to do, so I don't think I'll be able to do the movie. It's worked out, but it doesn't look too hopeful right now.
Sindy: How did you get your start in acting?
Kirsten Prout: When I was 10 years old. When I was really young, I just had that childish fantasy. I was always telling my mom "I want to be in the movies." It started out with my first audition, which was terrible. I was so nervous, but after a few I got a commercial with Wayne Gretzky and it really built my confidence up.
